Just finished Gods of The Nowhere: A Novel of Halloween by James Tipper. Kind of reminded me of The Halloween Tree in a way, but I liked this one better. It was fun to read and paced very well.
No, no, no! You should only read Alvin Schwartz’ “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” with the ORIGINAL illustrator: Stephen Gammell. The entire point of these stories is to be spooked, and the illustrations were a large part of that when I was a kid…and still today! Stephen Gammell forever!
